Joining the Secret Garden Collection is the new Amouage Love Hibiscus, a scent inspired by the blooming landscape of Oman. The brand’s Chief Creative Officer Renaud Salmon was careful to avoid easy cliches, and thus turned to the gourmand possibilities of the hibiscus. Working together with established scent-maker Jerome Epinette, he and Salmon created a hibiscus scent that balances bold contrasts without diminishing its disparate identities. Love Hibiscus starts out with the unmistakable hibiscus note: tart, berry-like, herbaceous, and slightly earthy. Then comes the Salted Caramel accord alongside passionfruit and frankincense, to contrast the sweet buttery creaminess with a sharp facet and woody profile.
