You never quite know what Paris will bring. As fashion’s ultimate arbiter of chic, the city is also where some of the most influential beauty ideas get their runway debut. The Spring/Summer 2027 runways were a tug of war between inventive, unexpected creations and a back-to-basics approach—hair and beauty included. Expect a few beauty moments already familiar from celebrity red carpets or viral TikTok trends, as well as ethereal, fashion-forward creations that feel worlds away from the everyday. Paris has spoken, and we’re not one to question. Ahead, the hair and beauty trends to come out of the fashion capital.
Flowered Earrings at Dior

For those who remember the obsession with long, single-sided feathered earrings in the 2010s, Jonathan Anderson raises us one better. Enter the flowered earring at Dior’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, where its long and dangly form resembled an entire floral wreath suspended from one ear. It was a deliberate styling choice for the new collection, which explored the imperfection and asymmetry of nature. Flowers haven’t exactly been a one-season fling for Anderson, who’s been developing a floral thread since his arrival at Dior. Lilypads were a central motif in his Fall/Winter 2026 collection, and cyclamens appeared as oversized floral adornments in his Spring/Summer 2026 haute couture debut. So perhaps we should call this Dior déjà vu—fitting, given that we already spotted Anderson gathering inspiration from the house’s past in our Spring/Summer 2027 Dior report.
Seeing Red at Tom Ford

If there’s one colour Tom Ford has never needed convincing about, it’s red. The shade has been making regular appearances in the house’s beauty looks in recent seasons, from the deep maroon lip at Haider Ackermann’s Fall/Winter 2025 debut to the neon-red pout at its Spring/Summer 2026 show. For Spring/Summer 2027, makeup artist Lucy Bridge spread the colour further still, working scarlet, burgundy, and peach to paint lips and smoke out deep-set eyes. Sensuality has always been a hallmark of Tom Ford, and red is no doubt the colour that evokes a certain seduction—especially when paired with Ackermann’s offering of slinky tailoring on bare skin this season. Outside the Paris Fashion Week runways, the red renaissance has been in full effect as of late: berry-red nails, “strawberry girl” blush, and cherry cola lips are common beauty buzzwords circulating on the internet. And when Apple starts putting out a burgundy-coloured iPhone, you know the red revival has gone mainstream.
Olsen Tucks at Balenciaga

The easiest beauty trend of the season needs no new product or salon appointment. In fact, it requires just about as little effort as one can give. At Balenciaga, models wore their hair tucked into the collars of coats and jackets, creating the illusion of a shorter cut and a casually chic, undone finish. The manoeuvre may seem too simplistic to require a name, but it is, in fact, called the Olsen Tuck. As the name suggests, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen helped popularise the look in the 2000s, before Phoebe Philo gave the same tucked-away hair the Céline treatment in the 2010s, using neck scarves instead of outerwear. Years later, it’s a notable feature of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Balenciaga runway, which applied couture techniques to everyday clothes. The Olsen Tuck, in essence, operates on the same premise as Piccioli’s thinking this season: let your clothes do all the work.
Retro Waves at Elie Saab

Before Marilyn Monroe, there was Jean Harlow, the original blonde bombshell—all platinum hair, bias-cut gowns, and Old Hollywood polish. It was Harlow’s screen siren persona that Elie Saab looked to for Spring/Summer 2027, with the designer citing her “effortless allure and timeless glamour” as inspiration for a collection that captured the mood of a glittering evening out, where things have become a little more liberated by the end of the night. If it wasn’t evident in the delicateness of lingerie-inspired layers and trailing lace dresses, it was obvious in the softly-styled waves of each models’ hair. The effect was Harlow as Anne Schuyler in Platinum Blonde once again, hair loosened and still in a silk slip from an evening of entertaining.
