One of the most celebrated comedies in history is returning for its third season. Based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports, Ted Lasso promises more entertaining antics by the titular American football coach — played by Jason Sudeikis — in managing a British soccer team. Expect more earnest optimism, underdog determination and biscuits to come our way.

BOSTON STRANGLER

Premieres 17 March on Disney+ Hotstar

This gritty, Keira Knightley-led true crime drama is a must-see. Telling a story of Loretta McLaughlin, a reporter for the Record-American newspaper who becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders, the film recounts the whole debacle as Knightley’s McLaughlin pursues the story at great personal risk to uncover the truth and despite the rampant sexism she faces.

Making one of the world’s most popular video games is no child’s play. In this based-on-a-true-story Cold War–era thriller, Taron Egerton’s Henk Rogers discovers Tetris in 1988 and risks everything by travelling to the Soviet Union where he joins forces with inventor Nikita Efremov’s Alexey Pajitnov to bring the game to avid players around the globe.

RYE LANE

MURDER MYSTERY 2

Many have ventured into the whodunnit genre as of late but few have gone the comedic route such as Murder Mystery. A fun watch for casual date night, the sequel follows bumbling couple Nick and Audrey Spitz on another adventure as they find themselves at the centre of an international abduction when their friend the Maharaja is kidnapped at his own lavish wedding.
