Penang Cocktail Week Returns in September 2025

And these are the activities you can expect for the boozy week.

Gird your loins—or liver, in this case—because Penang Cocktail Week 2025 is happening from 1st to 7th September 2025. For the third year running, expect an entire week of guest shifts featuring notable bartenders from around the world, including the UK, Canada, Los Angeles, India, Taiwan, Vietnam, China, as well as master classes, sharing sessions between bartenders and industry people, and exclusive parties.

Themed “A Cocktail of Cultures” this year, Penang Cocktail Week 2025 aims to be a central hub for all the great things that’s going on in the drinks industry all around the world. Bartenders from award-winning bars such as Jakarta’s Cosmo Pony, Bangkok’s Vesper, Goa’s Boilermaker, Bengaluru’s ZLB23, and more will congregate in Penang throughout the week in what looks to be some pretty exciting guest shifts.

The week begins on September 1st with the PCW2025 Welcome Party at Mojo Jojo in George Town, Penang and ends with the inaugural Bar Show Malaysia. Held at Ascott Gurney Penang, Bar Show Malaysia will be a 7,000 sqft affair featuring over 30 spirit and liqueur brands from around the world, as well as guest bartending shifts from award-winning bartenders, masterclasses, and Bar Banter sessions with industry veterans, culminating in a poolside party. Expect more than 100 signature cocktails from some of the best bars in Penang. For only RM38 for an entry ticket, you’ll get access to all Bar Show Malaysia programmes and one complimentary cocktail.
