When Chanel first introduced the Première in 1987, it changed the way women wore time. Now, nearly four decades later, the Première Galon picks up that legacy with a new, modern twist.
The Première was never just a watch. It was the French luxury house’s first timepiece, and it broke the rules from the start. Its octagonal case mirrored the shape of the N°5 perfume bottle stopper, while its bracelet borrowed from the leather-and-chain strap of the maison’s signature handbag. Feminine yet assertive, it embodied Chanel’s vision of elegance without compromise.

In 2025, the Première Galon continues that story, this time inspired by one of Gabrielle Chanel’s most distinctive couture codes: the braid. Mademoiselle Chanel used braided trims to frame her iconic suits—outlining edges, defining pockets, and structuring silhouettes with subtle precision.
Chanel now brings that same detail to the wrist. The Première Galon features an 18-carat yellow gold bangle crafted as a twisted braid, paired with a black lacquered dial free of numerals. It’s sleek, sculptural, and unmistakably modern.

For a touch of drama, the watch also comes in diamond-set variations, where the braid gleams with light, transforming the watch into a piece of jewellery in motion. Each piece is as much about craftsmanship as it is about character—wearable, expressive, and effortlessly chic.
The result is pure Chanel: timeless yet bold, refined yet effortless. With the Première Galon, the maison doesn’t just revisit a classic—it proves that style, like time, is always moving forward.
