Those attuned to wedding trends will have noticed that the formulaic wedding ceremony—the same dress, the same venue, the same decorations—is no longer in vogue. The keywords now are personalisation and intentionality. The aesthetic of a “wedding of the century” still glitters, but lovebirds now want something closer to their hearts.
“Weddings today are no longer just events,” shares George Varughese, the Market Vice President of Marriott International – Malaysia. “They are deeply personal expressions of a couple’s story, values and aspirations.” Yet, taking every minute detail into one’s own hands can feel exhausting. Imagine crisscrossing the city in peak-hour traffic for a consultation, or lost emails and mismatched vision boards. The best solution is to have all the services under one roof. Enter the Marriott Bonvoy Wedding Showcase 2026 – The Journey Series.

Happening on 25 and 26 April 2026 at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre (Level 1, Grand Ballroom), the showcase runs from 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., bringing together Malaysia’s finest wedding partners in one room. Now in its third year, the showcase mapped out a guided journey across three distinct zones: “Say I Do” for grand ballroom affairs, “Just Us Two” for dreamy honeymoon and “Ties That Bind” for intimate yet culture-rich celebrations.
“We wanted to create an experience that goes beyond wedding planning, bringing unique ideas to life and connecting couples with some of the industry’s finest,” Varughese explains. And that, really, is the crucial point. After all, Marriott does have a portfolio that spans over 23 wedding venues—beachfront resorts, garden sanctuaries, urban hideaways and swanky ballrooms—alongside a curated roster of wedding specialists.

Homegrown bridal brands such as Fiziwoo and HeetamPuteh sit beside planning expertise from Wedding Ministry and Merindu Saviour. Floral dreams bloom with Flair Design, Impian Design, Muas Mo and Ayu Deco. Experienced photographers like Bangsawan Pictures and Hue wait to catch every stolen glance. Even the scent of the day is sorted, with Noir and Malaya Perfume on hand, while glam artists like Bosco Ryzal, Gabriel Padan and Khir Khalid orchestrate your main character moment. And for the feast? Hetam and Little Bite Bunga tend the stove, because in this nation of food lovers, the memory of a meal lingers as long as a walk down the aisle.
And because romance deserves a reward, couples who confirm their booking during the showcase are entitled to join the “Wedding On Us” draw—up to RM 150,000 back on their packages, with wedding costs covered at participating hotels and resorts. Fancy a honeymoon à la White Lotus? “Honeymoon On Us – Thailand” offers three days and two nights in an Ocean Front Beach Villa at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, complete with business-class flights and a private long-tail boat excursion to Hong Island. Meanwhile, “Honeymoon On Us – Bali” delivers a four-day, three-night stay in a Strand Villa at The St. Regis Bali, including business-class flights and spa experiences for two.

Pre-registration is live now, and if previous years are any guide, spaces will vanish faster than the last slice of wedding cake. The message is simple: you don’t have to do this alone. Just show up, and the rest—with a little magic sprinkled by Marriott Bonvoy—will gently fall into place.
