There are many ways to mark the beginning of a new year, but in fashion’s universe, none feel quite as ceremonial as the return of awards season. And, as ever, it all begins with the Golden Globes, the unofficial starting gun for months of red-carpet action. For its 83rd outing, the event once again takes over the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, with Nikki Glaser back in hosting duties.
The night itself is stacked with buzzy titles. Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another leads the film pack with nine nominations, while The White Lotus dominates television with six, closely followed by heavy hitters including hits from the year, Sentimental Value, Sinners, Adolescence and Severance.
That wealth of talent inevitably translates into an especially glittering guest list. Early arrivals included Teyana Taylor in custom Schiaparelli, Ayo Edebiri and Selena Gomez, both in Matthieu Blazy‘s Chanel, and Tessa Thompson, Elle Fanning, and Kate Hudson, who lit up the red carpet in glittering moments. Also set to serve are Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Mirren, who will be honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards.
With so many stars, stories, and style statements converging in one ballroom, this year’s red carpet promises fashion as cinematic as the nominees themselves.
