More change is in the air this week as Leo season looms large (Sunday AEST; Saturday GMT). But before we get there, there’s plenty to keep you on your toes through the week.

You’ll be all about the “Of course I can! Yes please!” around the 17th when Jupiter and Mercury have you saying “yes” to everything. Be careful not to overcommit and underdeliver.

A juicy new moon in Cancer (Monday GMT, Tuesday AEST) is a great cue to hit reset on your emotional baggage. Think about the issues being stirred up the past few weeks, and consider what you might need to do to feel more supported and nourished in your relationships.

Next, brace yourself for a speed bump on Thursday/Friday where no matter how hard you hit the gas, you just can’t get past a roadblock. Now is the time to repeat ‘I accept the things I cannot change,’ and choose your battles.

Final stop before Leo season kicks off, Venus retrograde begins! Cue 40 days and 40 nights of romantic review. Ooh it’s going to be a big few weeks, starting right…now.

ARIES AND ARIES RISING

The week looms large with big shakeups, starting Monday. Take a moment early in the week to reflect on the home truths (literally, like at home), you’ve been dealing with the past few weeks and set a new goal that encourages you to lead with your heart. Later in the week, expect a tug of war – especially at work – and you won’t be disappointed.

TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING

The pressure is off – at least for Taureans – starting Monday with a cool change breezing through your sign. Capitalise on those minty fresh feels by setting yourself a little goal on the new moon (Monday GMT, Tuesday AEST). The best way to work with the energy is to reflect on how you could develop your emotional communication. How good are you at asking for what you need? Hit the self-help section of Audible if the mere thought of it makes your stomach flip. Thursday/Friday looks tense – especially with friends. Now is the time to agree to disagree or brace yourself for a serious blow-up.

GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING

The pressure builds this week as situations beyond your control give you a masterclass in how you manage confrontation. Despite the best of intentions and a genuine desire to just get on with things – potentially at home – restrictions or responsibilities will force a balancing act of Olympic gymnast proportions, especially around Thursday and Friday. The good news is, no one has the natural agility to carry it off quite like you. Have faith that this is a juggle you were born to master and try not to get drawn into other people’s dramas.

CANCER AND CANCER RISING

There’s a juicy emotional reset early in the week with a new moon (Monday GMT, Tuesday AEST) in your home sign. Cast your mind back over the past three weeks and reflect on what you’ve learned about leading from the heart. Use the fresh start energy to set a goal around your health, wellbeing or sense of self. Don’t be surprised if there’s a bit of tension, especially with siblings or extended family, later in the week. Whether you choose to get involved in the drama is your choice. Partaking is not a mandatory activity (despite what family may have you believe).

LEO AND LEO RISING

Your home season is so close (starting Sunday) you can almost taste the sunshine. Hold onto that warm, sunny feeling of anticipation this week. A little rainbow on the horizon could come in handy as a battle of wills, possibly involving a money issue, threatens to mess with your groove. Finding a middle ground between bulldozer mode and ghosting the situation entirely will be tough. Remember there is a happy compromise, you might just need to work extra hard to figure it out.

VIRGO AND VIRGO RISING

There’s wisdom to be mined this week although on the surface it might be hard to see. If you go charging ahead at 100 miles an hour, you’ll likely find yourself hitting a wall (soon after) – and completely exhausted from trying to fight your corner. Save your energy and agree to disagree. Just because you’re with someone doesn’t mean you have to have the same opinion about everything. If the confrontation leaves a bad taste in your mouth, don’t minimise the feeling. Sure, healthy relationships take work, but they shouldn’t be hard going all the time.

LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING

There’s a lot to process this week but your high point is the new moon (Monday GMT, Tuesday AEST). Retreat from the world and give yourself time to reflect on how you’re feeling (not how you’re thinking) about your work right now. Is it time for a change? Are you really truly nourished by your career path? Let your feelings lead you and set a new goal around what you’d like to do next. Don’t stress if you aren’t exactly sure of what that looks like. The next 18 months will deliver plenty of opportunities to let go of old, and welcome the new.

SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING

The emo feels of the Cancer new moon (Monday GMT, Tuesday AEST) are a sweet start to the week, inviting you to let your imagination run wild. Travel – especially the long-haul kind – is the best area to focus any new moon intentions. Is there a trip you’ve always wanted to take to explore your roots? Meshing family with adventure is the ideal combination. Later in the week, things are a little less ethereal when your ruling planet (Mars) faces off against Saturn. Pick your battles and know that there is no shame in leaving a party early – especially if friends are kicking off.

SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING

Keeping a low profile mightn’t be such a bad idea this week as the lunar energy encourages plenty of introspection. Adding to the reasons to lay low, people close to you (especially the ones you live with) will be feeling frustrated. Now is not the time to run your mouth! Events outside your control towards the end of the week have the potential to feel incredibly irritating. Keep your stress management tools – exercise, meditation or something creative – on standby and you’ll emerge unscathed.

CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING

As you bravely charge ahead into a brand new 18-month cycle, your first port of call (astrologically speaking) should be a little relationship check-up. With a new moon (Monday GMT; Tuesday AEST) encouraging you to wipe the slate clean, getting vulnerable about your relationship needs and asking for what you need (although terrifying) is excellent new moon material. Later in the week, expect a showdown – especially anything involving extended family, travel or even learning. Don’t be afraid to politely sidestep the drama if you feel so inclined. You don’t owe them an explanation.

AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING

Put your health and wellbeing at the top of your to-do list this week as a juicy new moon in Cancer (Monday GMT, Tuesday AEST) invites you to turn over a new leaf. This is a time to get out of your head and reflect on what your body is intuitively craving. Less meat? More cardio? A coffee sabbatical? A booze break? Whatever it is, let your intuition guide you and commit to giving it a go for the next four weeks. Having a stress release game plan will serve you well later in the week (Thursday/Friday) when the mood feels unseasonably tense. Don’t panic, this too shall pass.

PISCES AND PISCES RISING

At times you may feel like “getting it done” requires a superhuman amount of effort. It probably does right now, but you’re also entitled to a break. And if you feel you need that breather this week, take it. The new moon (Monday GMT, Tuesday AEST) is a cracker window for indulging in all the self-care you can handle. If you’re not actively managing stress levels, you could boil over by Thursday/Friday. Ask for help and quit pushing. You’re entitled to support as much as you give it.
