vivo Launches the V70: A High-Performance Daily Companion

Meet your new plus-one to concerts and vacations.
vivo v70 golden hour

Vivo just dropped its latest V series entry, the vivo v70, and it’s a significant step up for concert-goers, travellers, and adventurers. Finding a phone that has a good camera as well as a slim, convenient design (that doesn’t die by lunchtime) is a tall order, but this new release finally bridges that gap. For those who’d like a smartphone that doubles as a professional-grade camera, or vice versa, here’s the one to have on hand.

The big news here is the partnership with ZEISS, which co-engineered the V70’S 50 MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera. Thanks to that, capturing stage performances on your phone has never been easier. If you’ve ever tried to zoom in from the crowd only to get a blurry mess, the phone’s AI Stage Mode fixes that for you, using an enhancement algorithm to keep those 10x zoom shots crisp and clear. For videos like fan-cams and travel vlogs, the camera’s 4K 60 fps capability is definitely appreciated. The AI Audio Noise Eraser also helps to clean up the background chatter.

To support these high-res features, the V70 uses LPDDR5X high-performance memory and UFS 4.1 storage, essentially meaning faster app launches and seamless multitasking. The 4,200 mm² ultra-large vapour chamber—the largest in the V series—manages heat to keep the device running steadily and comfortable to hold. So, gamers and video editors, tap away.

vivo v70 colourways

Aesthetically, the V70 fits right into a sleek and curated lifestyle with three distinct colourways: Alpine Gray, Golden Hour, and Authentic Black. The new Golden Hour colourway is a pleasant standout—its Sunset Glow design catches the light through a chemically etched glass backing, resulting in smooth highlights. Paired with an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, its 1.5K OLED display stretches nearly edge-to-edge, adding to the overall clean look. The phone is also surprisingly tough, with water and dust resistance and 10-facet drop resistance, so a sudden thunderstorm or accidental slip of your hand won’t mean disaster.

The 6500 mAh BlueVolt battery is a massive win for anyone who hates carrying a power bank (or occasionally forgets to), ensuring all‑day power. When you are running low, however, the 90W FlashCharge gets you back to smooth sailing in just a couple of minutes. On the software side of things, the V70 runs on the new Origin OS 6, which introduces a useful, new feature called the Origin Island. It acts as a little capsule at the top of your screen, designed to boost convenience and maximise efficiency. It gives quick updates and suggestions, and recognises context and intent, so added features like Copy & Go and Drag & Go help you to reach flow state when switching between apps.

The vivo V70 starts from RM1,999 for 8GB + 256GB, now available for pre-order in Malaysia.
