It is time to once again update your Letterboxd’s Watchlist as we’re seeing a number of exciting releases and on-screen pairings—Chris Evans and Ana de Armas’ reunion!—coming out this month. Here, we list down some of the heart-pumping thrillers, winsome romantic comedies, and guilty pleasure reality TV shows you don’t want to miss.


Premieres 6 April on Netflix

Debuted at SXSW last month, Beef follows a struggling contractor and a discontented entrepreneur who find themselves in a feud after a road rage incident. This 10-episode dramedy stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, and features some extreme fistfighting, car torching, and wild shootings—from literal gunfights to simply Yeun taking a whizz on European oak hardwood floors.

The Menu, The Bear, Boiling Point. It appears that the Hell’s-Kitchen genre trope is all the rage at the moment and director Sitisiri Mongkolsiri has cooked another narrative deconstructing the meaning of hunger and ambition. Hunger serves a delectable culinary clash between a young street-food cook and a ruthless chef as she accepts an invitation to train under him.

Based on the critically acclaimed, New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, The Last Thing He Told Me is a seven-part drama about a woman who must forge a relationship with her sixteen-year-old stepdaughter to uncover the truth behind her husband’s sudden disappearance. The series stars Jennifer Garner, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Angourie Rice.

Everything is not as it seems in Family: The Unbreakable Bond. Kwon Dohoon has kept his occupation as a National Intelligence Service agent a secret for the longest time. To his friends and family, he is only an employee at a local trading company. However, his great effort to keep up the pretence proves to be pointless as he learns that his wife has an explosive secret of her own.

His grand romantic gesture, however, backfires when he discovers that she is a secret agent.

Another premise set in the world of gastronomy and fine wines is Drops of God. Adapted from a Japanese manga series, this multilingual drama kicks into gear when Camille learns that her father has left her an exceptional wine collection. But there’s a catch: she must compete with a brilliant oenologist and her father’s spiritual son Issei Tomine to claim the inheritance.
