Over here in Malaysia, it may as well be summer all year round. The sun’s out, the heat’s relentless—but honestly, there’s never a bad time for a bright, cheerful watch. Sure, some of these pieces scream “beach holiday,” but who says you can’t wear them on a rainy Tuesday or a late-night stroll?
Now, we don’t claim to have all the answers when it comes to the perfect summer watch. But we do have our favourites—pieces that capture that easygoing, carefree vibe, however you choose to define it.
These are seven of our best summer watches from 2025.
Tudor, Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue

The Black Bay line was originally inspired by the Oyster Prince Submariner reference 7922, but here’s something fresh. If you’re after a watch that pairs with your linen wardrobe, the Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue is spot on. It’s got a bright, summery vibe and feels like the most faithful Black Bay design yet.
This 37mm steel case model features a sand-textured, ice-blue metallic dial, a polished relief bezel, and a five-link bracelet, which lends it a slightly dressier appearance. Despite that, it’s still every bit a proper dive watch, with 200 metres of water resistance and the COSC-certified MT5400 movement ticking away inside. The Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue sits nicely on the wrist, thanks to the comfortable “T-fit” clasp. This piece offers a genuinely fresh take on Tudor’s diver, maintaining the vintage-inspired feel while adding something distinct and more summery.

Swatch, SCUBAQUA Collection

Swatch is back at it again with the Scubaqua—a bold 44mm of summer fun that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s made from Swatch’s signature Bioceramic. While it feels a bit toy-like at first glance, don’t let that fool you, this model is ready for the pool, the sea, or whatever splashy adventure you’ve got planned, with 100 metres of water resistance and a luminous 15-minute bezel for good measure. The rubber strap continues the two-tone theme from the case.
At 15.4mm thick, but it’s light, comfy, and won’t cost you. The crown sits up at 10 o’clock in a quirky way. If you fancy going full retro, the Aurelia Aurita is where it’s at, with its almost translucent-white design and bright tricolour hands and jellyfish vibes.

Rado, Anatom Summer Edition

First launched in 1983, the Anatom broke ground with its convex sapphire crystal that curves naturally with the wrist. This season, Rado revives the icon with a modern twist: the Anatom Automatic Summer Edition. The new models—available in yellow, green, and red feature colour-matched dials and rubber straps, bringing a fresh, sporty feel to the collection. Rhodium-plated hands and Super-LumiNova-coated indices ensure it shines day and night.
Each dial bursts with colour before fading into black, where luminous hour markers and a date window at 6 o’clock balance boldness with function. A black date disc with white numerals keeps things crisp and cohesive. The 21-jewel Automatic R766 calibre is proudly visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, securely regulated in five positions, where Nivachron™ hairspring is used for top-notch accuracy, and boasts a 72-hour power reserve.

Girard-Perregaux x Bamford, ‘Deep Diver’

Back in 1969, Girard-Perregaux launched the Deep Diver, Ref. 9108—a bold dive watch with a cushion-shaped case, a 14-sided bezel, and a striking red dial. It ran on the brand’s Gyromatic movement, known for its bi-directional automatic winding and improved efficiency. The Deep Diver captured the daring spirit of the ‘60s, standing out not just as a tool watch, but as a real design icon of its time.
Now, in collaboration with Bamford Watch Department, Girard-Perregaux brings the Deep Diver back as part of its Legacy Editions. This version keeps the cushion case and channels the bold dial design of the 1971 model. With over 234 years of watchmaking heritage, more than 80 patents, and 30+ in-house movements, Girard-Perregaux continues its tradition of innovation, making this limited-edition release a fitting tribute to the original.

Breitling, Superocean Heritage

First launched in 1957, the Breitling Superocean Heritage made waves as a dive watch that combined serious underwater function with a sleek, stylish design. With its spear-and-arrow hands, anodised bezel, and clean proportions, it became a go-to for adventurous types who wanted more than just utility. The latest refresh keeps that 1950s spirit alive while bringing things firmly into the modern era. As Breitling CEO Georges Kern puts it, it’s all about “refinement” and “style at sea.”
The new lineup includes a 42 mm chronograph powered by the in-house Caliber 01, along with automatic models in 36, 40, 42, and 44 mm sizes. Features like tone-on-tone subdials, slimmer ceramic bezels, and integrated mesh-metal or rubber straps sharpen the look and feel. With responsibly sourced 18k red gold on select models and a colour palette of black, blue, and green, the Superocean Heritage is ready for anything.

#FR2NCK MULLER, Vanguard Beach Limited Edition

Franck Muller teams up once again with Tokyo streetwear label #FR2 to launch the #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard Beach Limited Edition—a vibrant, summer-ready timepiece available across Asia Pacific. Offered in three bold colourways—Heatwave Red, Surf Blue, and Tropical Green—each dial features playful scenes of #FR2’s Fxxking Rabbits lounging under umbrellas, surfing waves, or hiding in tropical foliage. A date window at 2 o’clock cleverly doubles as a blazing sun and references #FR2’s signature, while Super-Luminova accents the rabbits and skeletonised hands for nighttime visibility.
Tying into the beach-ready theme, each watch comes with a rugged nylon strap printed with bold Japanese streetwear-style text and graphics, lined in leather and secured by a hook-and-loop closure for durability—even on sand. The bright case colours, inspired by sunsets, ocean tides, and lush greenery, are achieved through a high-heat fibreglass process—melting glass at 1,500°C, cooling it at 700°C, then infusing it with colour.

IWC, Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Miramar

IWC Schaffhausen adds to its Colours of TOP GUN collection with the new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Miramar, featuring a light blue ceramic case—its first time using this Pantone®-developed shade, inspired by the T-shirts worn by elite TOPGUN instructors. Limited to 1,000 pieces (Ref. IW389409), the watch includes a matching blue dial and rubber strap, blue Super-LumiNova® hands, and a titanium case back engraved with the TOPGUN logo. It runs on the in-house 69000 calibre, offering a 46-hour power reserve. Achieving a consistent blue tone across ceramic, rubber, and dial parts required a complex process involving zirconium oxide and metallic oxides.
Launching alongside it is a stainless steel version (Ref. IW388117)—the first steel IWC watch to feature a Pantone® colour. It shares the same blue dial and strap, with rhodium-plated hands, an open case back, and the same 69000 movement inside. Both models include a vertical dial layout for clear legibility, a column-wheel chronograph, and IWC’s EasX-CHANGE® system for quick strap swaps. These releases highlight IWC’s knack for pairing technical innovation with modern design, all while nodding to its aviation roots.
