Bag of the Week is a franchise that highlights the latest, most hyped luxury bags. Each week, we showcase a bag that is generating significant buzz, whether for its design, exclusivity, or popularity. This week, we’re shining the spotlight on the Longchamp Looong Bag.

We have a soft spot for Longchamp. The heritage brand has long been a favourite for its reliable bags—from the signature Le Pliage to the laidback Le Foulonné. Now, there’s a new silhouette in the family, and it’s making a strong impression. Meet the summer bag, the Longchamp Looong.
True to its name, this piece boasts a slender, East-West shape that taps directly into the Y2K nostalgia sweeping through fashion right now. We’re all for the early 2000s staples making a comeback, including a vintage-inspired elongated shoulder bag. But what if you are, like us, after that same sleek proportion without the worn-in, overly nostalgic feel? Something cleaner, more contemporary, and undeniably now? That’s exactly where the Looong comes in.

Crafted from soft cowhide leather and finished with gold-accented buckles, it arrives in a palette that ranges from soft sky blue and pistachio green to tonka red, alongside essential neutrals. The slimline design comes with an adjustable strap, so you can snug it under the arm or sling it on the shoulder. What truly sets it apart from other East-West styles on the market is its deceptive spaciousness. Despite the slender profile, the bag is anything but thin. Thanks to a clever, slightly triangular construction with streamlined, rounded corners held by two pinched gussets, it offers surprising room without losing its sleek form.

Creative director Sophie Delafontaine puts it best: “The Looong ticks every box required of a new It-bag. Worn snug against the body, it is an extension of personal style, ideal for women who want a bag with both character and charisma.” Kim Se-Jeong, one of the first to rock the new design, took hers to the beach—cementing its status as the ultimate summer accessory.

The Korean actress was spotted rocking the sweet blue and cheerful pistachio versions in the latest Summer ‘26 campaign, and without missing a single beat, that goes straight into our warm-weather styling references. With the blue, she went bold and paired it with a striking pop of orange. For the creamy green, the brand ambassador opted for a complementary palette of browns and spiced it up with checks, proving that carrying colourful bags should not be a restriction but a tasteful touch instead.
Thai actress Minnie Phantira and “Yam” Tantiprasut also let their Looong catch the summer breeze. If darker shades are more your comfort zone, take cues from Yam as she anchored a green dress and vibrant silk headscarf with the brown iteration. Minnie, on the other hand, styled hers with a check-on-check ensemble, creating a look that feels just right for an evening rendezvous as the sun dips toward the horizon.
