Penang Cocktail Week is coming back for its fourth edition, and this time the festival is inviting its global community to come home. Running from 15 to 20 September 2026, the week-long celebration will once again bring bartenders, brands, industry professionals, and cocktail lovers to the island for six days of drinks, culture, and hospitality.
After three successful editions, Penang Cocktail Week 2026 is built around the theme “Welcome Home”—a nod to the tight-knit community the festival has grown since its launch. Whether you’ve followed Penang Cocktail Week since day one or are planning your first visit to the island, organisers say every guest will be welcomed like family.
A Festival Reflecting Penang’s Warm Hospitality
Rather than simply expanding in size, this year’s programme returns to what has always defined the event: authentic Penang hospitality. The 2026 lineup of guest shifts, events, and experiences is structured around five local pillars that capture the spirit of the island.
Kaki Lang (One of Us) celebrates the bartenders and industry figures who make the Penang cocktail scene what it is, featuring local and international guest shifts alongside collaborations between friends across the global F&B community. Makan Angin (To Explore) takes attendees beyond the bar counter, encouraging exploration of Penang’s neighbourhoods, culture, and hidden gems throughout the week. Jiak (To Eat) puts the island’s celebrated food culture front and centre, with cocktail pairings, hawker collaborations, and dining experiences unique to Penang. Kongsi (To Share) is dedicated to knowledge and community, offering tastings, masterclasses, and conversations for industry professionals and curious drinkers alike. Lau Juak (To Celebrate) closes out the festival with a lively finale at Hin Bus Depot, combining cocktails, live music, art installations, and local vendors for a Penang-style send-off.

Penang Cocktail Week has built a reputation as a regional meeting point for the cocktail industry, and 2026 is no exception. This year’s edition will welcome guests travelling from cities including Montreal, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Kolkata, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi, Singapore, Medan, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Phnom Penh, reinforcing Penang’s growing status on the global cocktail festival circuit.
The full festival programme—including participating venues, the complete international guest lineup, ticketing details and exclusive experiences—will be announced in the coming weeks. With six days of guest shifts, food pairings, masterclasses, and a closing celebration at Hin Bus Depot, Penang Cocktail Week 2026 is shaping up to be the festival’s most community-driven edition yet. The countdown to September has officially begun.
