As the nation gears up to ring in Malaysia’s 69th year of independence, it is important that we gather with friends and family to celebrate the vibrant flavours that honour our beloved country. Luckily for you, we have prepared an extravagant lineup of Merdeka dining deals brought to you by four restaurants coming from the city’s lavish hotels—from Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur to EQ Kuala Lumpur. 

Merdeka Dining Deals in KL This 2026 

Tuai + Till, Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur

Put on your best ensemble of red, white, or Malaysian traditional outfit and head over to Kimpton Naluria’s dual dining concept restaurant as they bring the heat with a six-course fire dinner. By the entrance, guests will be greeted with an Otak-Otak stone-oven pizza and a live satay station over charcoal. The lineup of sharing mains includes the tableside-carved Ayam Percik, banana-leaf Ikan Pais, and a charred Terung Bakar Air Asam, finishing off with a sweet treat.

Skybar, Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur 

Raise a glass and join the countdown at midnight at SkyBar, perched on the 33rd level of Traders Hotel. Accompanied by breathtaking views of the Twin Towers and city skyline, plus a live band performance and DJ on deck all night, guests will be treated to an array of local flavours with a twist—from Satay Tiga Rasa and Wagyu Rendang Burger to Ayam Percik Skewers. Can’t make it for the countdown? Fret not, Flavours of Merdeka at SkyBar will still be available from 11 August to 12 September.

This Merdeka Day, Roselle Coffee House introduces “The Merdeka FEASTival”—a buffet dinner brimming with nostalgic Malaysian flavours alongside family-friendly activities which include traditional games and batik painting. The dining hall also welcomes back the Unofficial National Drinks Station, serving every kopitiam, pasar malam, and kampung beverage available.
