Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have officially closed the chapter on their marriage. The former couple has finalised their divorce, with court documents confirming that both parties have agreed to waive all rights to child and spousal support, bringing a notably pragmatic end to their 19-year marriage.
Filed on Tuesday and obtained by Page Six, the settlement outlines clear arrangements for their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15. The children will live primarily with Kidman, who will have custody for 306 days of the year, while Urban will spend time with them “every other weekend.” In a move that reflects their respective earning power, neither parent will pay child support, with both reporting monthly incomes exceeding $100,000 USD.
On the financial front, the division is refreshingly amicable by Hollywood standards. All property, including investments and bank accounts, household furniture, vehicles and personal items, will be split by mutual agreement, with each retaining what is currently in their possession. All claims to alimony and spousal support have been waived, and both Kidman and Urban will cover their own legal fees. Whether a prenuptial agreement exists remains unclear, but fan speculation around a messy legal split has been put to rest.

Although a hearing had been scheduled, Kidman waived her right to appear in court, having returned from Australia just a day earlier after spending the holidays with her daughters.
News of the settlement follows confirmation in September 2025 that the Big Little Lies actor and the country music star were parting ways. At the time, a source told Page Six that “sometimes relationships just run their course,” adding that Kidman had hoped to save the marriage. She filed for divorce on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences, after the pair had reportedly been living apart for months.
In the time following their split, Urban was briefly linked to his guitarist, Maggie Baugh, though a friend of Baugh’s swiftly shut down those rumours.

Kidman and Urban first met at a G’Day USA gala in January 2005 and married the following year, becoming one of Hollywood’s most enduring love stories.
Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001, with whom she shares two adult children, Bella and Connor.
