During the GRAZIA Malaysia second anniversary celebration recently, all guests noticed two Audi vehicles flanking our floral steps: the Audi Q7 S Line and the Audi RS e-tron. Both are very distinct vehicles that have their own fanbase—let’s dive into it.
First, we check out the Audi RS e-tron—a sleek and sporty vehicle that goes fast in style. The electric all-wheel-drive has a power output of 440kW (475kW in boost mode) and an 830Nm torque, bringing the car from zero to 100km/h in 3.3 seconds. Better strap yourselves in. Inside, the RS e-tron is equally as plush. Fine Nappa leather seats furnish the bulk of the interior, with the Sports contour 3-spoke flat-bottomed leather-
wrapped multi-function plus steering wheel with heating and shift paddles. Meanwhile, the Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System ensure that the tunes are as good as the drive.
Over to the Audi Q7, we have the brand’s flagship 7-seater SUV vehicle, which maintains a sophisticated silhouette thanks to its bold characteristics and S line trim. The Audi Q7 is now locally assembled, delivering German precision with Malaysian presence. As with any Audi vehicle, the Q7 is amped up on performance. Powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 engine, you get an output of 250kW/340PS with 500Nm of torque, and it goes from zero to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 250 km/h. It also comes with a 48V mild-hybrid system that needs no plug-in.
It is our opinion, however, that the Audi Q7 is the perfect road-tripping vehicle with friends. It comes with Audi Drive Select—seven different modes to suit different terrains and operating conditions optimally. This includes throttle response, suspension dampening, steering feel, and more. Plus, it comes with Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System; 19 speakers strategically placed around the cabin, ensuring that all seven people in the vehicle enjoy great music. The quality of the playlist, however, depends on whoever is handling the music. Or in the Audi Q7’s case, the person whose phone is connected to Wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
