Bright Young Things: Ahirine Ahirudin is Gearing Up to Hit the Silver Screens and the Road
They say life begins at 30. For this hard-working actress, it certainly is going to be the case. While it may be hard for many to pierce into the acting circles of Kuala Lumpur, Ahirine Ahirudin has already found an in through her interests: motorsports and martial arts. The combination of the two areas makes her highly desirable on an action film set, and she’s already starred alongside some of Malaysia’s most coveted actors like Farid Kamil and Aedy Ashraf just five years into her career.
Among her most thrilling memories on set was one shared with Remy Ishak for the upcoming action flick Mikael: Pemburu Dua Alam. Of course, it involves a fight scene, except this one got a little too real for both of them. “I learnt a lot from that set. Including ways to not use real force on your scene partner,” she snickered. “It was a scene where we were arguing, and when I was pushed, my Muay Thai instincts somehow kicked in.”
But before all of these highs, it was a rejection that redirected her focus. “I didn’t have the right techniques, and my movements looked awkward. So I quit my nine-to-five, threw myself into training in the hopes that I could land a role once I could prove that I had the moves,” she said. That paid off. While this means that she had to pause her journalistic interests, Ahirine took immense pride in portraying strong women, so it’s not purely action for action’s sake.

Her other loves, cycling and motorsports, also take precedent. When she’s not training or filming, she’s on two wheels somewhere in the city. If you spot a femme fatale riding a Triumph Scrambler 900, there’s a high chance that you just caught Ahirine in her element.
All of the above would have meant an overwhelming schedule for many, but Ahirine takes it a step further: she’s in the Royal Malaysian Navy Volunteer Reserve, too. “‘What next?’ is usually what my parents say,” she laughed. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Whenever I set a goal, I just work my way towards it.” In fact, this is her honest advice for young adults. “Remember this: every time you give in to the laziness, someone, somewhere is working to get there,” Ahirine noted solemnly.
Her 2026 vision board includes bicycling all the way to London, which she estimates will take approximately three months. “I just feel like allowing myself to wander and get lost. Maybe I’ll find myself along the way,” Ahirine said. This comes as no shock to her family; her father completed one to Saudi Arabia’s Mecca himself. Though she has yet to make a concrete map of the plan, the actress is looking forward to diving into the sights of China and Europe.
Between the tour and a film slated for release in the first half of 2026, there is much for this bright, young thing to look forward to. Her long-term goal—yes, she has more up her sleeves—is to become a professional fighter. “Nothing professional. I’d be happy to enter fights at amateur levels too,” she mused. If there’s one thing Ahirine is going to do, it’s to achieve what she has set her sights on, come hell or high water.
