Created by Patrice Leguéreau and the Chanel jewellery creation studio, the collection explores the transition between day and night, capturing this fleeting radiance through diamonds, gold, and bold, architectural designs.
In this collection, three of Gabrielle Chanel’s most enduring emblems take center stage: the comet, wings, and the lion. These elements are interpreted across an array of transformable and asymmetrical designs—from ear pendants and tiaras to hand jewellery and open necklaces—showcasing both technical craftsmanship and a strong creative vision.
The Comet: A Guiding Star
Back in 1932, Gabrielle Chanel created her first—and only—high jewellery collection, Bijoux de Diamants. She filled it with stars and comets, shapes she considered “eternally modern.” Nearly a century later, these motifs remain as relevant as ever. In the new collection, the comet becomes a dramatic, blazing force: elongated with gold and onyx, suspended from diamond chokers, and scattered across between-the-fingers rings like a galaxy in motion.
Highlights include the Dreams Come True necklace, inspired by the silhouette of a couture dress’s décolleté, and the Dazzling Star choker, adorned with two dangling diamonds at the clasp—a tribute to graceful, gravity-defying elegance.
Wings: A Whisper of Movement
“If you were born without wings, do nothing to prevent them from growing,” Gabrielle Chanel once said. And here, the maison gives those wings flight.
For the first time, wings appear in Chanel High Jewellery, articulated like lace and built to move with the body. The Wings of Chanel necklace is anchored by a stunning 19.55-carat Padparadscha sapphire—its colour evoking the sky at the edge of sunset—and extends to a detachable pendant that doubles as a bracelet. A matching ring, with a flawless 8.15-carat oval-cut diamond, perches on the hand like a weightless feather.
These pieces don’t just adorn the body—they are articulated to dance naturally with every movement. Take the Free Move necklace, which reveals either the nape or neckline, depending on your angle, or the Full Swing tiara, framing the face like a crown of twilight.
The Lion: Strength and Style
The lion, Gabrielle Chanel’s astrological sign and personal emblem, returns as a symbol of strength and protection.
In Strong as a Lion, the lion’s face is surrounded by stars and set with white and yellow diamonds. Embrace Your Destiny connects two lions with pear-shaped diamonds, creating a statement piece that merges elegance with symbolism.
A Final Note: Time as a Silhouette
The collection also includes a special timepiece: the Silhouette Clock. Featuring the outline of Mademoiselle Chanel looking up at the stars, it’s both a functional clock and a tribute to her legacy. Made with black jade and set with diamonds, it highlights the maison’s ability to blend storytelling with design.
