GRAZIA Malaysia kicked off its inaugural Sundown Sessions on 24th June, 2026 at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, marking the launch of a new event series that brings together music, beauty, and lifestyle in one evening. The debut edition drew a crowd of familiar faces from Malaysia’s entertainment and fashion scenes, setting the tone for what’s shaping up to be a regular fixture on the city’s social calendar.
The night’s centrepiece was a live set from GRAZIA Malaysia’s digital cover stars, Gaston Pong and YANA, who each took to the stage for two songs. YANA treated guests to an exclusive live preview of her single “Keliru”, which officially launched at midnight, alongside a cover of an Olivia Dean track that showcased her vocal range. She and Gaston Pong later joined forces for a duet rendition of Daniel Caesar’s “Best Part”, one of the evening’s standout moments. Gaston rounded out his set with a nod to R&B, performing a cover of Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” that had guests singing along.
Beyond the music, the evening offered plenty for guests to explore. A flower cart by BloomThis let attendees try their hand at crafting their own floral bouquets, while Korean skincare brand Miraecle set up a booth showcasing its product range—guests who scanned a QR code were rewarded with a full-sized ampoule cleanser to take home. Local craft beer brand Paperkite kept the drinks flowing with its award-winning Copper Ale and IPA, served alongside a spread of canapés courtesy of Shangri-La KL’s culinary team.
The night also included a lucky draw, with winners walking away with a mix of floral and stay prizes: Shiuan and Zac each received a bouquet from BloomThis, while Daniel Fleischer took home a 3D2N stay at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. As the formal programme wound down, DJ Andee O stepped in to close out the evening, keeping the dance floor busy well into the night.
Among the guests spotted at the event were DOLLA’s Angel, Christinna Kuan, beauty queens Serena Lee and Chloe Chen, and fashion designers Istasia, Kel Wen, and Rizman Nordin—a fitting mix of music, beauty, and fashion that captured exactly what GRAZIA Malaysia’s Sundown Sessions set out to celebrate.
