The clock is ticking down for one of the biggest nights in K-pop. The prestigious MAMA Awards are set to take place in Hong Kong on 28 and 29 November, and 2025’s edition promises an exhilarating lineup of performers and nominees, as well as a few things we’ve never seen before on a MAMA stage.
It’s worth noting that there has been some uncertainty about how the MAMA Awards ceremony will proceed this week, following the recent catastrophic fires in Hong Kong. While there is a possibility that the ceremony will be pre-recorded out of respect, the evening will no doubt present a chance for the industry’s top talents to come together in a tribute to the city’s resilience. As we await further details, read on for the full list of confirmed nominees and performers at the 2025 MAMA Awards.
Performers

K-pop is an industry built on stage presence, notorious for the rigorous training idols undergo to ensure that every hair flip, shimmy, and wink is perfectly choreographed. It’s no surprise, then, that one of the industry’s most prominent events would go all out on the performance front. The list of performers for the 2025 MAMA Awards is stacked with talent, blending both familiar faces like Enhypen and Meovv with exciting newcomers like boy group Alpha Drive One.

While superstar groups like Stray Kids and Aespa are sure to own the stage, our prediction for the buzziest performance at this year’s MAMA Awards goes to a blend of groups that has never before performed together. In a tribute to the year’s biggest K-pop phenomenon, the MAMA Awards are bringing together members of Babymonster, Zerobaseone, Boynextdoor, and Riize to recreate an epic showdown from the global hit K-pop Demon Hunters. Pharita, Ahyeon, and Rora from Babymonster will perform as demon-hunting girl group Huntrix, with their concept titled Gonna Be Golden—which should give you a little hint as to which viral hit they might be singing. Playing the devilishly charming Saja Boys are a blend of male idols from different groups, including Zerobaseone’s Park Gun-wook and Han Yu-jin, Boynextdoor’s Leehan, Riize’s Wonbin, and TWS’s Shinyu. The boys’ concept is titled I’ll Be Your Idol, suggesting that the Saja Boys’ eerily catchy song Your Idol will play a starring role.

Nominees

K-pop fans are famed for their unwavering, fervent support of their favourite idols, so we can expect that the results of the evening’s awards categories are going to be as closely anticipated as the thrilling performances, if not more so. This year’s nominees are as exciting as ever, featuring high-profile industry giants like BTS and Blackpink, as well as rookie names like the co-ed Allday Project and boy group Cortis. The most prestigious awards of the evening are the four that fall in the Grand Prize, or Daesang, category, which includes Fan’s Choice of The Year, Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Last year’s MAMA Awards saw Seventeen take home two awards in the Daesang category, with Aespa and BTS’s Jimin winning in the Song of the Year and Fan’s Choice categories, respectively.
As for who might be the lucky winners in 2025, we can only speculate—but until the big reveal, read on for the full list of nominees at the 2025 MAMA Awards.
